Rural and Francophone Community Immigration Pilot

Explore direct pathways to permanent residence through the Rural and Francophone Community Immigration Pilots—connecting skilled talent with the heart of Canada.

About the Pilots.

Canada’s community-driven immigration pilots are designed to bring the economic benefits of immigration to smaller centers and Francophone minority communities. These programs offer a personalized approach to settlement, focusing on regions where your skills are most needed.

Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP)

This pathway is for skilled workers who want to live and work in one of Canada’s participating rural communities. It focuses on filling local labor shortages and helping newcomers integrate into the local social and economic fabric.

Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP)

This pathway is dedicated to French-speaking or bilingual skilled workers. It aims to increase the Francophone population in selected communities outside of Quebec, ensuring newcomers have access to French-language services, schools, and cultural networks.

Participating Communities

There are 18 selected communities across Canada participating in these pilots. Each community has its own criteria for recommending candidates based on local economic needs.
